How this is linked: the curriculum document defines the Delivery Pathway, the 15 week Programme Structure and the Community Safety & Social Action Projects as three separate sections, without cross-referencing them. This tool applies one proposed integration model, weeks 1–6 delivered as common ground for every level, weeks 7–9 varying in content by level, and weeks 10–15 converging again with the specific project scoped to the level. The level assigned to each curriculum topic and each community project is an inferred best fit rather than something stated explicitly in the source document; worth reviewing the mappings above before this goes live, particularly the Foundation Level project list, which is thinner than Intermediate or Advanced because most listed community projects assume web, video, app or data skills.

How the curriculum is delivered
The same curriculum is delivered at three levels, each mapped onto a 15 week programme with community projects. Every young person starts where they are and progresses as their confidence and skills grow.
Delivery Pathway
Foundation Level
For young people with limited digital experience: building confidence and safety first.
Sessions at this level
Programme focus
- Introduction to creative digital skills: light exposure to design, video and audio tools
- A safe, guided introduction to what AI is and how it is used responsibly
- Foundational financial safety: recognising scams and protecting bank details
Community projects
- Running a digital help clinic for older residents or community organisations
- Participating in an employer led technology challenge (scope scales with level) (shared across all levels)
At Foundation Level, young people are best placed contributing to team projects led by Intermediate or Advanced peers (research, interviews, testing) alongside leading a simpler service project of their own, such as the digital help clinic.

Intermediate Level
For young people ready to specialise in an applied digital skill.
Sessions at this level
Programme focus
- A chosen applied specialism: web design, graphic design, video production, coding or digital marketing
- AI literacy with responsible use practice, alongside foundational data skills
- Entrepreneurship, digital enterprise and cybersecurity fundamentals
Community projects
- Designing an online campaign about knife crime, fraud or criminal exploitation
- Producing a podcast featuring youth workers, police, employers and people with lived experience
- Producing short videos on money mules, cyberbullying or online grooming
- Designing a social media campaign promoting positive role models
- Developing digital content for a local charity or small business
- Participating in an employer led technology challenge (scope scales with level) (shared across all levels)
Delivery Pathway
Advanced Level
For young people considering digital careers, ready for technical depth.
Sessions at this level
Programme focus
- Technical specialism: Python or JavaScript, cloud computing or app development
- AI and machine learning fundamentals, plus ethical hacking in a controlled lab environment
- Data analytics, advanced media production and digital business development
Community projects
- Creating a website that lists local youth services, apprenticeships and safe activities
- Developing an app prototype for reporting community concerns
- Creating a community crime prevention data dashboard
- Participating in an employer led technology challenge (scope scales with level) (shared across all levels)

Where
Delivered across four Milton Keynes wards: Wroughton and Fishermead, Bletchley East, Stantonbury and New Bradwell.
When
After-school sessions, running in the 3pm to 7pm window.
Who it's for
Young people aged 13 to 24 living in or connected to the priority wards above.
How to get involved
Self-referral is welcome, or ask a school, youth worker, or a partner such as Thames Valley Police, the Youth Justice Service, CAMHS or Safer MK to refer in.
Cost
Free. Every session is free for every participant, with no hidden costs.
